If you want to play DVD Audio discs on Windows 10 32-bit, the Audigy 2 is the way to go! That means I was able to play my copy of the Foreigner DVD Audio in full 96 kHz 24 bit quality and without any problems. The MediaSource DVD Audio Player from the Audigy Support Pack still works under 32-bit editions of Windows 10, not on 64-bit. I’ve never had any problems playing back MIDI files using CoolSoft’s VirtualMIDISynth using the Audigy 2, it’s just that Creative’s SoundFont support is limited under Windows 10, and also causes a similar muted audio problem. To fix this issue, you will need CoolSoft’s VirtualMIDISynth, which is an alternative to the Creative Sound Blaster Synthesizer that you can find using Google. The SoundFonts will only play through the Creative SoundFont Bank Manager, and not through a software that plays MIDI files such as Windows Media Player. The only downside is that EAX is not supported if used with OpenAL or Creative Alchemy, but we do have CMSS, which gives the listener virtual surround sound over headphones and/or analog 5.1 speakers. I’ve had no problems using the Audigy 2 on my HP Pavilion a6010n running Windows 10 32-bit.

The drivers provided in Daniel’s package could cause a BSOD or muted audio, but this only happens when using the mentioned update of Windows 10. If you want to install the bundled applications, Daniel Kawakami has provided the Sound Blaster Audigy Series Support Pack, but please do a custom installation and uncheck the “Audio Drivers” after you have installed the Audigy RX drivers manually.
